{"id":307,"date":"2010-04-01T19:51:54","date_gmt":"2010-04-02T01:51:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.myheroesathome.com\/blog\/?p=307"},"modified":"2010-04-01T20:00:06","modified_gmt":"2010-04-02T02:00:06","slug":"predeployment-roller-coaster","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.myheroesathome.com\/blog\/2010\/04\/predeployment-roller-coaster\/","title":{"rendered":"Predeployment Roller Coaster"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Predeployment is like an emotional roller coaster for me.<span> <\/span>I\u2019m sad because my husband is leaving.<span> <\/span>I\u2019m mad at the government for taking my husband to war.<span> <\/span>I\u2019m stressed because I want my husband to help me get as much done around the house as possible before he leaves.<span> <\/span>And I\u2019m happy when we get to spend quality time together.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Tonight was a one of those stressful nights.<span> <\/span>My husband was helping me get something from the attic, and I remembered a time last year during his deployment when I couldn\u2019t find something in the attic because it was a mess.<span> <\/span>I was livid that he left the attic in that state.<span> <\/span>It is fine when he is the only one going up there, but what about when he\u2019s gone and I have to find something? <span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">So I continued to nag him about how he needs to do more before he leaves.<span> <\/span>I\u2019m especially paranoid for this deployment because from what Mike is telling me, he will have very little access to phones and computers.<span> <\/span>What if I need something and cannot find it?<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">I realize there is no way we can plan for every situation and it is inevitable that I will not be able to find something.<span> <\/span>I guess if that happens, I just ask my neighbor for it.<span> <\/span>I\u2019m trying to convince myself that it isn\u2019t the end of the world.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Now that we spent the little time we get to spend each night arguing (well mostly me blowing off steam), I feel terribly guilty.<span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">So here we are back on the roller coaster of redeployment.<span> <\/span>For better or worse, we are just starting up the first big hill.<span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Predeployment is like an emotional roller coaster for me.
