I found a couple of things today that might have eased the pain of deployment just a little bit…<\/p>\n

#1. The Husband\u00a0Pillow.
\nI know, I know, this thing has been around forever…. but it certainly takes on new\u00a0significance for\u00a0 anyone facing a year of sleeping alone! I love that this one has an actual hand – tell me THAT wouldn’t be creepy if you woke up in the middle of the night and found the faux hand in the wrong place!\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42 \u00a0I also like that he’s wearing clothes. Usually, husband pillows are not so…. life-like! Now, if they only made one in BDUs….<\/p>\n

#2. Operation: Hi Honey!
\nPaul and I celebrated our second anniversary during the deployment, and we were lucky enough to be together in Australia for R&R on the actual date… but I still think this would have been a great gift! This company let’s deployed military personnel send free artwork to their spouses on their anniversary. It’s a canvas with a personal picture printed on it. How sweet!
